Successful arterial drainage is the key to using fields for crop farming and establishing a well-functioning field drainage system.
We do arterial drainage planning for individual main ditches, more extensive contract drainage projects, ditch drainage proceedings and land reparcelling projects. Our customers include farmers, ditch drainage associations and larger organisations and companies, such as the National Land Survey of Finland.
Your main ditch plan may be a small-scale project focused on clean-up excavation or a large project involving dozens of landowners and water protection solutions.
The ditch can be reinforced with different structures to prevent collapsing, store water and improve water quality. Structures like these include stepped spillways, submerged weirs, floodplains and different water retaining structures, such as stoplogs.
We prepare our main ditch plans as 3D terrain models, which allows us to convert the model to a machine control model. The model can be imported to the excavator’s control system, which eliminates the need to mark the passage of the drain with poles, making it easier to excavate the trenches and monitor progress.
We prepare cost breakdowns for ditch drainage associations and drainage projects of individual farmers. When the costs are broken down, it is important to divide the costs equally between the parties in accordance with the true drainage benefits and justifications.
